Make Something Beautiful

"Take all of my life, all of my life,
And make something beautiful.
I open my hand, trusting Your plan.
Make something beautiful so all will see
Your work in me, as You make something beautiful
Make something beautiful"

(Chorus from Make Something Beautiful by Laura Story)

God’s sovereignty directs every moment of my life, for my good and His glory. It’s true. I know it. But oh, how quickly I forget it. I need to hear it over and over again. I need to be reminded of it every day. I have to decided if I am  going to choose to interpret my circumstances based on what I hold to be true about God, or whether I am  going to judge what I hold to be true about God based on my circumstances.

"Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." (Hebrews 11:1 ESV)

I have needed to speak this truth to myself often during this journey, especially over these last eight months. So, here is another reminder—for me, and maybe you too!

"This, then, is of faith, that everything, the very least, or what seems to us great, every change of the seasons, everything which touches us in mind, body, or estate, whether brought about through this outward senseless nature, or by the will of man, good or bad, is overruled to each of us by the all-holy and all-loving will of God. Whatever befalls us, however it befalls us, we must receive as the will of God. If it befalls us through man’s negligence, or ill-will, or anger, still it is, in even the least circumstance, to us the will of God. For if the least thing could happen to us without God’s permission, it would be something out of God’s control. God’s providence or His love would not be what they are. Almighty God Himself would not be the same God; not the God whom we believe, adore, and love.” (E.B. Pusey, 1800-1882)

Thanks Heather for your blog. I try to keep up with it as well. May the Lord continue to bless as you study.

We look forward to our next visit on Skype.

Morning Heather,
It was good to hear from you. I am finally getting around to visiting again.
This was a great post very full of truth! Yes, we need to remind ourselves over and over again.
Even at times when the enemy causes something, we have to remember it is only because the Lord allowed it for a good purpose. Satan means it for evil but God always means it for our good!
I heard one man say, his name is Dr.Bill Gilham, the satan is nothing more than God's errand boy.
Love that!!

Hope you are doing well my friend.
We are still waiting waiting waiting..........but we are content
in it the majority of the time, we do have our moments tho!!

Our honeymooners arrived back in Orlando yesterday. They went to Jamaica to the Sandals resort, and they had a wonderful time, we are so happy for them. They actually called us to come by for a visit,
so we got to visit with them for a few hours and hear about their trip, such fun!
We had not seen their apt. yet either and couldn't believe how they had everything done so nicely,
since they just moved in about a week or so before the wedding, but it was so nice for them to come home to!! and now they have to get
busy opening wedding gifts....
another fun thing to do!! and unpacking all the ones she got at
her shower in April. They decided not to do it until after the wedding which was a great idea.

Well, you take care sweetie,
read about the earthquake in your other post...I am sure that was a lil disconcerting at first!
Just remember the Lord is with you!

Blessings Hon,
Nellie
