God reminds us to REMEMBER

Remember : to bring to mind or think of again,
to keep in mind for attention or consideration

What moments in life defy forgetting? Why do they defy forgetting?

Why am I so forgetful at times?   I think you'd agree: the world militates against our slowing down, much less our retreat into silence before God. We live distracted, fragmented lives for the most part, with information and activity overload. I think about my own life: my computer, internet, cell phone, radio, and TV. It gets a little ridiculous. The business distracts me from taking time remember things well enough to appreciate them.

It is frustrating at times that I don't remember certain events as much they demand to be remembered due to the impact of change they created.

Last Saturday I was able to spend some time at a retreat in the mountains with the women from my church. We were able to disconnect from the things of that so often distract us and were able to spend time in silence listening to the TRUTH from God's word.  God used this time to remind of the importance of being still and to reflect on His promises.

Ladies from my church here in Costa Rica that I went on the retreat with.
